Daily care for the cat colony in Roquetas de Mar
Over 50 street cats – every day, without exception
Since September 2025 we have been caring for a large, permanent cat colony in 04740 Roquetas de Mar (Almería). Every day we drive out, feed more than 50 cats and check that all is well – in any weather, on every holiday. What began as a private initiative bottle-feeding kittens is now a life’s mission. Trap, neuter, return – to break the cycle
Uncontrolled reproduction is the colony’s biggest problem. A cooperating local vet waives a large part of the regular costs: neutering a male cat €50 instead of €95, spaying a female €100 instead of €150, plus a 10% discount on vaccinations and treatments. What’s missing are the funds to start – every donation brings the project closer.

Where the daily food comes from
At our small donation stand outside the local supermarket we collect what keeps the colony alive day after day. Donations go directly into cat food and litter. If you see us there, come and say hello – we’ll tell you honestly how the animals are doing.
